Author's Bio
Sera Maddox Drake is an indie author with a BA in English who specializes in erotic literary fiction with esoteric, occult themes. Their work has a special focus on the viewpoints of neurodiverse, queer characters, and they believe that only love will save the day. They live with their husband, children, and cats in a conservative Flyover Country state that does not need to be named, on a small lot that they are slowly but surely converting from grass to permaculture.
Their work has won multiple awards, including the 2026 Passionate Plume for Erotic Fiction, three 2025 Speak Up! Talk Radio Firebird awards, several 2026 Outstanding Creator awards, and a Literary Titan Gold Award. Their debut novel, Ancilla, was Pencraft's Spring 2026 Erotic Romance winner and an Author Shout/Reader Ready 2026 Top Pick, and was an Indies Today 2025 genre semi-finalist and a 2026 finalist for the prestigious Hawthorne Prize for fiction.
Their current passion project is a collection of fantasy stories, What Is Told: A Conglomeration of Confabulations, which supposes a storytelling challenge held between an unknown writer and Geoffrey Chaucer. It launches in the autumn of 2026.
