Mary Anne Edwards
Author's Bio
Mary Anne Edwards, a native of Mercedes, spent most of her life in Georgia, where her love of Southern storytelling, small towns, and long-buried secrets inspired her bestselling Charlie McClung mystery series. Influenced by classic mystery authors such as Agatha Christie, Anne Perry, Caroline Graham, and Elizabeth Peters, Mary Anne writes traditional mysteries with a modern edge — blending clever puzzles, emotionally rich characters, clean romance, and gritty police procedural detail. Set against the backdrop of the 1980s South, the Charlie McClung Mysteries invite readers into a world of murder, corruption, family secrets, and unexpected love. Mary Anne believes life should be lived fully and joyfully at every age. She’s been known to dance in the kitchen, laugh too loudly, and occasionally take an unnecessary ride on a shopping cart — usually under the watchful glare of Gertrude, her grumpy tuxedo cat and unofficial household supervisor. She and her husband call Georgia home.
