8th Annual Author Shout Book Awards.

Entry Fee: $20 per book

When you submit your book, we will review your book from an "overall potential reader experience" perspective in which we will take a thorough look at your book cover, book description, and "Look Inside" sample.

The Author Shout Book Awards will be conducted in three phases:

Phase One - Submit Your Book For Review

All Author Shout Book Awards submissions will be reviewed based on the following criteria:

• Book Cover (40% of your score) We are looking for book covers that grab our attention and make us want to read your book description
• Book Description (40% of your score) We are looking for that "wow factor" here that compels, excites, or intrigues us to want to Read a Sample and make a purchasing decision. Book descriptions should be free of typos, more than one sentence, and not leave us feeling confused to what we just read
• Read Sample (20% of your score) We are looking at formatting, writing quality, no typos, a strong introduction, and reader flow

ALL Categories/Genres/Sub-Genres Accepted - We are accepting ALL categories/genres/Sub-Genres and will not discriminate based on category/genre/sub-genre. We are reviewing every book entered from an "overall potential reader experience". We decided to accept all categories/genres/sub-genres because of the extensively wide variety of possibilities that are available on Amazon and did not want to limit entries based on this fact.

Phase Two - Selection Process

After we review your book cover, book description, and read sample section of each entry, we will select books to go onto phase two. If your book was selected, you will receive notification via the email address you provided that your book will be advancing to Phase Two and you will then be asked to submit your manuscript (.mobi or .pdf format) for our selection of readers to read your book in its entirety.

If your book was not selected, you will still receive an email from our team notifying you that your book was not selected to move onto Phase Two. If your book was not selected, you can always re-enter the following year when registration is open again.

NOTE: If your book was selected during this phase you will be required to provide a copy of your book in digital format. You can submit your book to our team in either .mobi or .pdf format once notified of your selection.

Phase Three - Announcement Of Award and Sharing Across Social Media/Newsletter

After our team of readers have completed reading each book that was selected in Phase Two, the winners in each category (Editor's Choice, Gold, Silver, and Bronze) will be announced. Depending on the award you are selected to receive, you will have a Gold, Silver, or Bronze badge awarded that can be added to your book cover for bragging rights along with additional prizes highlighted below.

Editor's Choice Award (Limited to the overall BEST book(s) we reviewed) - This badge will be awarded to the book we believe is the best overall book we reviewed chosen by our Editor/Founder, and will receive the following:

• Promotion - Your book will receive one year of promotion in which it will be featured as an "Editor's Choice Book Award Winner" on our website, shared across all of our social media platforms, and featured spots in our newsletter.
• Graphics Pack and Trailer - Your book will receive a Graphics Pack consisting of various size banners to share on social media and a custom made book trailer.
• Author Profile Page with guaranteed selection as Author Of The Month - We will create a featured author profile page on our site listing you and your award winning book.
• Featured Author Interview - You will have the opportunity to conduct a featured author interview to be published on our site, YouTube channel, and shared across social media to include our newsletter.
• 1 FREE Month of Essentials Service from Book Award Pro.

Gold Selection Award - This badge will be awarded to the selected "Gold Book Award Winners" and will receive the following:

• Promotion - Your book will receive 9 months of promotion in which it will be featured as a "Gold Book Award Winner" on our website, shared across all of our social media platforms, and featured spots in our newsletter.
• Graphics Pack - Your award winning book will receive a Graphics Pack consisting of various size banners to share on social media.
• 1 FREE Month of Essentials Service from Book Award Pro.

Silver Selection Award - This badge will be awarded to the selected "Silver Book Award Winners" and will receive the following:

• Promotion - Your book will receive 6 months of promotion in which it will be featured as a "Silver Book Award Winner" on our website, shared across all of our social media platforms, and featured spots in our newsletter.
• Graphics Pack - Your award winning book will receive a Graphics Pack consisting of various size banners to share on social media.
• 1 FREE Month of Essentials Service from Book Award Pro.

Bronze Selection Award - This badge will be awarded to the "Bronze Book Award Winners" and will receive the following:

• Promotion - Your book will receive 3 months of promotion in which it will be featured as a "Bronze Book Award Winner" on our website, shared across all of our social media platforms, and featured spots in our newsletter.
• Graphics Pack - Your award winning book will receive a Graphics Pack consisting of various size banners to share on social media.
• 1 FREE Month of Essentials Service from Book Award Pro.

Sharing Opportunity - The more you share, the more visibility this opportunity you can be seen if your book(s) are selected. Please share across Facebook, Instagram, Threads, TikTok, Twitter, and Blog posts that you entered your book(s). Do not forget to mention us (@authorshout) and we will re-share your posts.

Important Dates For You To Remember (Please mark your calendar and check your email/spam/junk folder)

• Start Date when submissions are being accepted: December 30th 2025
• End date when no more submissions are being accepted: October 31st 2026
• Announcement of selected books to proceed to Phase Two: November 15th 2026
• Announcement of winners selected from Phase Three: December 20th 2026
• All winners books will be posted, badges, and prizes awarded: January 10th 2027

Rules and Conditions

1. All Authors who submit your book(s) to the Author Shout Book Awards agrees to have your book(s) cover, description, and look inside section of your book thoroughly analyzed by our team of professionals.
2. All award winners will be selected based on meeting or surpassing a rigorous and demanding review process.
3. Authors agree that feedback received from the "overall potential reader experience" feedback report is subjective with the intent of providing valuable feedback meant to improve the "overall potential reader experience".
4. You will be required to provide a digital copy of your book (.mobi or .pdf format). Once submitted there will be no re-submissions if you made any modifications to your book(s).
5. When selected, you give Author Shout permission to post your book cover, blurbs, and author name for publicity purposes.
6. Once you submit your book(s), do not email or contact us to inquire about your status/results or feedback report. We have several books we will be reviewing and the process takes time.
7. We will notify all entrants via the email provided of your selection and award.
8. We reserve the right to update or modify the rules and conditions at any time, if or as needed. NOTE: The only reason we will do this is to clarify anything that may be confusing or misunderstood.
