Born in 1952, Margaret emigrated with her family from England in 1961. Her work-life has varied, including many years as a graphic designer in the textile industry, a commissioned artist in oils and other mediums, and even working on a farm. Since retirement, she has co-founded a support group for Camp Quality and written a monthly book review for the local newsletter. She has been writing for twenty odd years, exploring poetry, playwriting, and fantasy.
Being an avid reader, she has a love for all books, especially children’s chapter books and it was this love that inspired her to delve into the magic and imagination of these wonderful stories and write her own. The result is ‘Merlin’s School for Ordinary Children – Ring of Curses’, which is her first published novel.
She has two grown children and, after living in Tasmania for thirty two years has moved to Queensland. This year – 2014 – she was chosen to be a featured author for The Tasmanian Premier’s Reading Challenge.
