I am a graduate of the US Naval Academy and a former US Navy officer. I’m also a competition swordsman in historical fencing with the European Longsword and I’ve studied longsword fighting in both the US and Russia.
I’ve traveled abroad and visited many parts of the world, including some dangerous ones, which gave me plenty of experience that I now use for writing.
Now I write novels more on the dark and gritty side featuring themes of dystopia, war, and enemies-to-lovers romance.
Q. What is the inspiration for the story?
A. Saturday morning cartoons, swordfighting competitions, and military experience. I loved superhero cartoons about teams with dynamic characters united in one goal. Each hero brought something unique to the team but also had their own weaknesses that forced them to rely on the others.
Q. This book is part of a series, tell us about your series.
A. I wanted a take on everything bad you see in the present getting worse. In the near-future corruption is the rule and the law. Democracy is outlawed. History is censored. Far away, people who are the epitome of perfection and high on hubris think absolute destruction of the corrupt is their right.
